Just got an answer from Mr. Knoob regarding plans for servicing the 1744. Fuel will be delivered by the local distributor as needed, as is fuel for the diesel locos. Maintenance will be done "al fresco" (his words, not mine) for now, just like with the diesels, but plans have been drawn up for a new enginehouse/shop that will be across from the current passenger depot; SLRG hopes to have it built and in use by this fall.
