I was wondering if any of you know any more info on who Chester Mack was.

He designed the American Freedom Train paint scheme, the four SP TE70-4S's "popsicle" paint job and also (I think) was a vintage modeller that used paper to create scale models of aircraft and railway equipment (I recall a couple of Chester Mack articles in old modelling magazines- same guy?). He seemed to be involved in many paint scheme designs for test and demonstrator locomotives. But who did he work for? Was there any reason that he was consulted for designing the stuff he did? I've tried to dig up info on many websites to find out about him, and can't find much other than there is always a reference to the AFT. I guess that was his greatest feat before his passing in 1999.
