Chester Mack was an industrial designer, he worked for Alco, American Locomotive Works. He designed the paint scheme for the 1947 American Freedom Train. His paint designs I know of are Long island railroad, Bicentennials are Southern Pacific, plus the TE70s, Alaska, and Milwaukee. I have his original artwork for a proposed Conrail scheme. He was also involved with Alco Models importer of brass diesels starting in the late 60's. He also worked for Rockwell International in Southern California after Alco quit making locomotives. He also did stunt work although it was unplanned he slipped and went off an aircraft carrier 65' to the water in Long Beach. He was a model builder and collector, a great railfan and a great friend.
