It's not just the developers who should be shot: it's the idiots on the Zoning & Planning Commission (or the local equivalent, if it even exists) who should be drawn & quartered for even allowing residential properties that close to the tracks. It's one thing if the development took place years ago, but to allow new homes to be built next to an active rail line is absolutely stupid. (Then again, so are the morons who move in to 'em and @#$%& about the noise right away.)
