Today's Photos
After the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake knocked down a large portion of the
Cypress Freeway (I-880) in Oakland, the new freeway was rebuilt over and
through the existing SP mainline. In the yard area some of the old brick
shop buildings had to be demolished to make room for this project. Here is
a photo of that phase of the project.
