Here we go again the liberal press hard at it. Did they not go out and look around, UPRR has had and still has Eviromental clean up crews working in the area. They had Vac trucks pumping up fire fighting water and they have hauled the timbers to an approved dump. The clean some of the dirt up already and UPRR was the one who had the air monitoring in place. UP has not been difficult on the yard clean ups, We all know railroads and industry in general for years did not take the enviroment into consideration. UP has a great enviromental record and they will clean up behind themselves. The other two yard will get cleaned but UP must protect itself from any legal action once they sell these properties.
And as the lower thread said GEEEZ I am sorry the poor bike riders can not use the park but it should be kept closed because the Sacramento county and city parks folks can not keep the homeless out of the area. What about the mess they make.
