Around a hundred years ago there was a very efficient Tacoma to Seattle rail service that was probably built at a fraction of the cost even considering a century of inflation. It was built in a very short time frame and served most communities on the way.

Not only that, both cities had efficient trolley systems; a project that is once being discussed in Tacoma now!

So much for progress!
