How about mechanical issues with your ride, in the middle of nowhere. My buddy Mark had a rear axle break while track cracking the Tonopah & Tidewater R of W between Crucero & Baker, CA. A very expensive tow home. I've suffered electrical issues while in Cajon Pass; had to leave the truck & return the next weekend only to find out the neutral safety switch had come unplugged.
