OPEN LETTER TO THOSE READING THE GGRM THREAD: All of the posts you read regarding this topic are either speculation, second hand information or downright lies. I can not and will not speak officially for GGRM or PLA as I am not on the Board of either group. However, you the readers should know that an extremely dedicated group of individuals, including Mike Managini, Margret Moonroe, Steve Muffuchi, Ralph Bennet, Don Micheletti, John Tashera, Red Bartoli, Doug Debbs, Dave Roth, Jim Bunger and yes, even Ron Vane and dozens of others have given countless hours and monies to the GGRM and 2472. They do not deserve to be vilified by a bunch of unknown people hiding
behind fake names, monikers and nicknames who don't have any guts or brains to step up to the plate give their proper names and THAN SAY what they have said so far. These loyal members have wsorked extremely hard and continue to do so. 2472 was steamed last week and now awaits FRA inspection. Than our loyal and dedicated crew will re-apply the insulation and jacketing and the engine will be ready for service at Niles Canyon. PLA from Henry Luna and Henry Baum down have gone out of their way to welcome us and feel at home. I know because I am there almost every weekend.
ABSOLUTELY none of the folks who have posted on this thread work on the engine at Brightside.
Those posting are BLOWING THEIR OWN STEAM not the GGRM's.
