Now that the dust has settled maybe some of these crazy people that wanted to make Humboldt Bay the next "Port of Oakland" will concentrate on museum projects, trails, better public access to transportation corridors, even historic preservation (what's left of it). Timber and fishing are all but dead. Tourism and the university community, parks (public employment) are about all the North Coast has left beside the "evil weed." Ongoing improvements to Highway 299 and 101 should compliment any port development in the years to come. Come on........lets just get over it and give the "eco-groovies" their trails.
