It is well known to make a small fortune in shortline railroading, start with a big one.
I too will miss the railroad but I am eager to see the 18 running on the Virginia & Truckee. I wish Thomas Grey would get off his high horse and get the loco up and running. I think he is planning to use for political leverage. Its frustrating... Steam her up already!
