Hello,
Work is going well at the Samoa Roundhouse. 2/3's of the upper roof has been stripped off. Most of the track has been laid inside. The rails are spaced by steel pipe, with all thread running through it, and nuts on the outside of the rail. The rolling garage doors have been repaired.
The round house in in back of the Samoa Cookhouse, if you are coming across the Samoa bridge, from Eureka, take a left at the tee(255?), and then take the next left, instead of turning to go right, go straight(watch for cars for they don't watch for you) , across the railroad tracks and through the gate, follow it around. Good parking, not recommended to park next to the bldg, because nails, from the roofing.
Lunch/drink is whatever you bring. bring gloves if you want them.
We figure the last time rails were in there was around 1956 or so.
