All the infrared film I remember was pretty slow anyway (ISOs around 64 or less). I've seen a number of articles and ads about modifying digital cameras to remove the infrared filter that's over most sensors so you could try something similar - as a pro photographer you probably have an old SLR around that isn't used much any more you could try it on.
