The OP&E (Oregon Pacific & Eastern) never had switchbacks on their main line.

However, the OC&E (Oregon, California & Eastern) had two of them.

Neither railroad is in service. OC&E shut down in 1990 and was scrapped out in 1993/1994, and the OP&E quit around 1992 and was scrapped out 1994/1995. Both lines are now fine recreational trails.
