True enough!

But not Far enough!

Railroading + Politics = Metrolink = BART = CALTRAIN = SMART = VTA = DART = WMATA = MAX = CAL-HSR = you name it to infinity! That's why transit trackage costs so damn much more (by a factor of 10 to 20) than UP or BNSF track. It's the damn politics.

But don't get me started - I'm too old and too close to retirement to keep fighting it. I will be limiting my post retirement part-time consulting to where politics is not involved!
