I didn't realize until tonight that I had a photo of the same two ALCO's leaving Newhall and heading for Lenzen Ave. Both #4845 and #7302 have cut off their train and are passing F-M H12-44
#1578. Also note the lack of traffic on Highway 17 (it was California #17 long before it was ever I-880) and I believe it still was two lanes each direction.
