Did the Overhead department get the lineside poles installed all the way to the north switch at Molena? I remember reading that poles were in place all the way to Birds Landing Road, but also that long poles had to be sourced for the next leg of the route to the south... It's been a winter or two since then, I believe.

I know the track and shop crews had been quite busy preparing for and readying the new carhouse (to get the rest of the collection out from under the weather), so manpower and resources were being diverted for a healthy while in the interest of the entire collection... Joel has also procured a few new (finicky) pieces of track equipment and has been putting them to work on the mainline (ridden on by paying visitors), so the focus on pushing track repair south to Molena seems to be on the back burner as well.

Dr. Zarkoff is correct though, any serious operations past Shiloh road won't happen until the new substation is built, and it's not going to be a cheap project.
