Drive across the Adeline Street bridge and all that paved area on your left all the way up to the first street is where the WP roundhouse, coach yard and passenger car shop, and balloon track once was. The track on your left that parallels Middle Harbor Road and deadends at the first street is the remnants of what was called the South Main that extended westward into WP's Oakland yard (there was a North Main as well; neither "Main" had signals and were essentially yard leads). The large two-story building that'll be on your left where Middle Harbor bends to the right is the old WP Oakland office building. Just beyond the parking lot on the west side of it is where the locomotive servicing facility was after WP stopped using the roundhouse. Oakland Yard started there and extended all the way west to the ferry slip. There were 21 tracks, if memory serves. All gone now.
