While the article indicates that good things are about to happen on the Dakota Southern, it makes no reference to the fact that, while Mr. Williams owns two other shortlines and Mr. Patterson operates one for the State of Washington, he is also in the railroad salvage/scrap business.

I believe the Tulare Valley Railroad is owned by A&K Railroad Materials as is the V&S in Colorado.

Wishing Mr. Williams and Mr. Patterson the best of luck in their new endeavor and hopefully their assets and experience will result in another successful shortline operation.
