Your best bet would be to locate a copy of Interurbans Special #32, "Cars of Sacramenbto Northern." It has been out of print for about 40 years but you might find a copy at some used book source. A book that is in print, "Sacramento Northern" by Harre Demorro, has a number of locomotive photos plus a plan of one of the GE locomotives. If you would like to help the cause, you can buy a copy at the Western Railway Museum bookstore that you can reach at www.wrm.org.
SN operated a number of Baldwin Westinghouse locomotive of various sizes and construction dates. SN had 5 GE-Alco locomotives of about 62 tons that were built between 1923 and 1931. They all look the same.
In addition SN had a number of box motors and cab-on-a-flatcar locomotives that were home-made or built by Holman Car Company in San Francisco.
The GE locomotives would make a great model because of all the extra details added by SN such as roof-mounted air tanks and motorman window awnings. They had re-railing frogs, a spare trolley pole, and a switching pole attached to the frame.
Good luck with your model.
