Amtrak-Pedestrian in Puyallup question

The news showed an Amtrak train that hit and killed a pedestrian in Puyallup, WA at about 2am yesterday morning. The train was Amfleet equipment and appeared to be a deadhead move. Anyone have details on that? Perhaps the equipment that has been covering the extra holiday Cascades run? Deadheading to where?
