Editors' Notice - Starting this year Trainnews will publish on a normal Monday thru Saturday schedule. This is due to less and less news being posted on the web during the weekends. Also please note that some issues may be smaller than those in the past, I have been noticing that many articiles are being re-published by multiple sources over a period of 2 to three weeks therefore I have started trying to keep track of those subjects and will no longer publish repeated articles (note your editors are not perfect and some may slip through). Also the amount of international news articles have been growing over the past 3 months, this is not due to editorial bias, but instead of the lack of Domestic New in general and an increase in International stories.
For those who are submitting photos for the "Today's Photos" I again ask you to send them with a meaningfull description, I do not intend to try and re-write a description to enhance the photo with locations, date, and submitters name. However, that being said I will publish the photos with the description submitted. If the description does not provide enought information, I will request more detail from you and not process your submission until I receive the information.
It has been suggested that we have a "this day and railroad history section", If someone will compile the information I will include it in Trainnews, contact me at espee99@comcast.net.
Finally, thanks to the folks that have contributed photos, articles, etc. over last year. I look forward to you continued support in the comming year.
