i don't see string - lining as much of a problem since the RR's went to articulated well car platforms. String - lining usually occurs when really long cars ( 70 + feet ) are pulled around really sharp curves. ( 8 degrees or more ). Dynamiters & phantom signals to DPU's, causing break - in - twos, are more likely now, as well as the onboard computer problems already encountered.
