Is that right? Was 116 the first train out of 4th and Townsend, or the first train with a GP40P-2? I thought I read it was 110 back at the time, but of course that was 35 years ago now.

Seems funny now there there was up to a 2:50 hour gap between trains mid-day on weekdays back then, and only a couple of lightly used "reverse commute" trains with the current Caltrain schedule having so many more trains. I do miss the every-three minute first-stop departures though. I see the current Caltrain schedule has a 5:14pm departure, which is kind of historical so to speak.
