Harry Stegmaier's book, Southern Pacific Passenger Train Consists and Cars 1955-1958, published by TLC Publishing in 2001 (out of print) has a section on the Cascade with some information about these cars. Page 35 reproduces a Railway Age article describing the interior of the cars and Page 36 has a color photo of the lounge section.

Not all the detail you're seeking, but some of the information may be helpful.
