I have several hundred to go! The entire collection is scanned, mostly in 16 bit, and files range from about 4500 pixels wide from older 35mm stuff to 12,000 pixels on the best of the large format. I've restored around a third of the images, this means all dust scratches and other damage is repaired and tonal/color balance has been carefully applied. The originals are all in psd format, with many layers and masks!

So, making display images for the site is pretty slow. I have captions already done for these, and they are with the images in the "file info" area, so have to be copied to the text next to the images.

I may try to keep an update list on the Historic Image page, not sure yet.

If you havent' looked, check out my Image Restoration Page, there's a shot of an NP Compound 2-8-0 that was in really rough shape. I did a before and after image that is a mouse-over, so you can see all the changes with the flick of the cursor.
