Very nice!

The Thompson River in this area is stunning, and the best rafting (and railfanning)is in the late Summer. The Natives to this area called it the Painted Canyon due to it's iron deposits in the cliffs. Any photo of mine cannot bring justice to how beautiful and colourful this area is in real life. Since the Trans-Canada Highway (#1) is superceded by a larger freeway over the mountains to the East (#5), the Fraser and Thompson Canyons are virtually undisturbed by the two-lane #1.

Just obey the speed limits - this road does not forgive in many places......
