One Saturday morning in the Spring of '72 IIRC, Dan Ranger & I were headed from his home
over to RVJ to fire up and operate the ex-Pickering Lbr. Corp. Shay 11 when he pointed
to a pair of those Alcos @ Napa Junction and proceded to tell me just what they were.
Up until that moment, I had no idea of there capability.
