I know this first hand because I attend the NCRA meetings and Dan Walters does not.....simply put, the NCRA HAS NOT be able to access all of those millions he cites in his story. CALTRANS and the CTC have seen to that. If these monies, which were appropriated to the NCRA had been used, the NWP would be open and running by now. Only a couple of million of those dollars has actually made it to the railraod for toxic clean-up, repair of levees and weed abatement. And fianlly to Mr, Reves, please reserve your comments unless you have first had information. Besides, I am sure when the NWP opens, you'll be up there taking pictures with all of the other railfans. If you feel so strong about your tax dollars, put your money where your mouth is and write to the CTC and say you don't want the NCRA to get a dime!
