I'm afraid that I missed the "holier than thou" rantings of Mr. Pechner. Sounds like you don't like his news updates to me, and use this site as your "cry pillow". All I have EVER read from Mr. Pechner were news updates. What amazes me is that he GETS FLAMED for it!!!

Bottom line is that this Country CANNOT continue to rip out its infrastructure!! We must start thinking long-term here. I'm not saying the Northwestern Pacific will or won't make money, but I think there are some good arguments for opening the darn thing (please do not respond telling me there is nothing to haul UNLESS you have visited the areas in question, spoken with local Government AND business leaders, AND spoken with current potential shippers- I'm pretty sure NONE who like to rant in NWP postings have done so). The work has already started regardless of whether you agree or don't. So why whine about whether you agree with what the NCRA is accomplishing (or starting to)?
