All of the weather guessers are predicting major rain fall from a series of Pacific storms
headed for Northern California this week.
It is just this type of weather event that has led to significant damage to the NWP in the past.
If their predictions come even close to becoming reality, look for Schellville to go under water,
San Antonio Creek to flood and for major flooding on both the Russia and the Eel Rivers.
We will now see all of the slides and sinks become very active. It actually gets worse when the flood waters go down.
It was chained storms, just like these, predicted for this week, which took the NWP out in 1982, 1983 and 1998.
Perhaps Mike Pechner can tell us what the current rainfall, to date, is in the Eel River canyon and what it becomes in the weeks ahead.
Somewhere between forty and sixty inches, the NWP comes apart.
