Well Ken, I am not totally sure but I do think the constable drove a Dodge Polara that was a hand me down from the CHP. Most of the Sheriff's vehicles back then were also hand me downs, in fact, the constable's car may have been a hand me down from the Sheriff. I don't think any local law enforcement agency up there got new vehicles until the LEAA grants of the early 70's.
