Were one to ponder U.P.'s ability to handle snow over Donner,the naysayers should take into account at least U.P's ability to handle snow removal from their tracks in Wyoming,Montana,Colorado, California,Nevada and Nebraska to name a few states. Then ask themselves if that wouldn't be enough experience to enable them to come to grips with Donner in a reasonably short period of time. This isn't the first year U.P. has had to run trains over Donner and executed snow removal. Given that sometimes Donner can be daunting. Yeah, I know, we miss SP but that's another mismanagement story.
