The car at the PLA is the car from Jamestown, which was then moved to Hunter's Point (GGRM) and is now the property of the PLA. The second Cascade Club was scrapped. PLA has approved restoration of the Cascade Club. Current activity is to find and repair all of the leaks in the roof. Later in the year, the roof(s) will be properly repaired and painted. The side sills will be replaced/repaired as needed along with the side panels. One side of the kitchen dormitory is particularly bad. The interior of the car is fairly complete and the paint is not in bad shape except where there is water damage. Plans are to restore the car to how it looked in the mid to late 1950's. Donations to the PLA can be earmarked for restoration of the Cascade Club. Southern Pacific only ordered 10 triple units and this may be the only one remaining. Any and all information on the car would be greatly appreciated.
