For 67-71, SD40 and 45s with a few SD9s thrown in. As the tunnel motors came into play with the 70s, they showed up along with UP SD40-2s. Helpers generally went as far as Grass Lake, but could cut off anywhere short of Grass Lake if the train was making track speed and the helper wasn't needed for dynamic braking on a westbound.
