Photo One: Southern Pacific U28C 7153 with SD39 5304 on a work train at Woodford, CA on October 21, 1974.
Photo Two: On Feb. 20, 1989 a blockage on Southern Pacific’s valley route caused the SP to reroute many trains on the then seldom used west side line. Here SP SD40R 7373 leads a westbound west side freight past the water tower at Westley, CA. Note the former Southern high nose SD45 in the consist.
Photo Three: Cotton Belt GP40 7600 goes under the BART tracks on the east leg of the wye at West Oakland, CA. The date for this photo was not recorded.
