I can understand the frustrations from gathering information. Almost all the pieces are there and the last few can be the hardest to find - and the most grueling to research. You rely on outside means as a last resort, only to have the help in finding the information not there.
I'm afraid that not many of us know enough about other States, and have relied on Altamont Press' fantastic timetables to help us broaden our reach in the past. I for one, have used the timetables I've collected over the years to further research my immediate railfanning area, and encouraged me to see some other areas of the USA that I would have not visited at all if not for them. I would truely help in any way if I could on this one.
This intermountain timetable would have been groundbreaking in it's nature. Not only is it an untapped rainfanning region (in my opinion), it has a vast history that should not be forgotten or overlooked.
I visit this site almost as many times as I check my email. And if not for your selfless act of taking over the site and business after Rob's death, along with all the other contributors to this site, we all would be off-air, and more lost that I think we'll ever admit. Heck - some of us would not even be friends with each other because of this site, and the wonderful mix of interests and professionals make it a site that I have enjoyed for many years, and hope it will continue in the future.
A big thank you for all that you have done for us David.
And also to all of you who post pictures, give opinions, ask questions, etc....
