As kids, we used to refer to 374 as the Eight O'clock Freight, as it rolled throught Menlo Park just after 8:00 p.m. In the late 60's, any power sitting around Bayshore was likely to end up on the point.

I recall seeing upwards of 10 units at times. F's mixed with GE's, Geeps of all flavors, the occasional Alco, and goats, too.

Good times, neat stuff, friendly railroaders, all gone now.
It's all (well, you know the rest...)
