Re: No rails at Martell

Since there is so much interest in the Amador Central's tracks I would like to invite everyone to come to Ione and ride the rails in a speeder at the Ione Railfair and Motorfest, May 29 and 30, 2010. There will be speeder rides from Ione to Martell, the round trip is about 20 miles. The rides leave Ione at 9AM, 1PM and 6PM on Saturday and 9AM and 1PM on Sunday. The speeder trips last 3-4 hours. Must be wear long pants and closed shoes. The tickets are $20 per person and tickets go on sale Saturday morning. Be sure to get there early, tickets sell fast.

There will be other equiment to ride including a Skagit motorcar. The Skigit ride is four mile. The Skagit leaves Ione about every 30 minutes. There maybe a special or two on the ride. $3 per person.

There will be a free indoor and outdoor model railroad show featuring model layouts from Sacramento Modular Railroaders, Peninsula Ntrak, and On The Brink Live Steam Group.
