I checked out the Metrolink web site and did not find any info on construction in Fullerton. The OCTA web site does have info regarding the project. As I was at Fullerton for dinner before Christmas, I didn't notice anything going on. However, Metrolink is going to institute 30 minute train service between Fullerton and Laguna Niguel late this year. They are building a storage yard in Laguna Niguel. Whatever is happening in Fullerton is likely a part of that project. I have been meaning to put together a web page of the Laguna Niguel construction as I have been down there several times and taken some photographs. I have not been there since late November and construction had advanced. Here are four samples.

Photo 3: Part of the east side platform was demolished for a new stub track. It is now much further along than this, my first visit in October.



Photo 4: The northerly end of the project, approximately Galivan, north of Mugs Away Saloon, the site of mooning Amtrak. It has been graded for new tracks and ties for a new turnout have been laid.
