Did the crews happen to unearth any old trolley or interurban tracks during their digging, or were these old tracks buried or resurfaced so deep that the crews couldn't find them?

It's very interesting when the media picks up information on maintenance or construction activities uncovering traces of our transit past, such as several years ago when they reported on the old trolley infrastructure uncovered during the rehabilitation of the Burnside Bridge.

Sometimes it seems as though they're reporting on finding dinosaur skeletons or such -- and it's only been 50-60 years since the last trolleys and interurbans ran in Portland!
