Folks, I rode the stub train (Coast Daylight) in the Amtrak schedule many times between SF and LA and LA and SF. I can remember that we had the following typical consist: Econ Baggage, Articulated chair, automat, lounge (sometimes a dome, some times no lounge) and another Articulated chair.

Most of the time 2 SDPs, I stopped riding after the summer of 1972 so I know that they lasted at least that long.
