Last week, the California Trolley and Railroad Corporation introduced to the city the potential railroad museum use of the triangle parcel behind Municipal Stadium. Centerpiece of the museum would be the reconstructed San Jose Roundhouse and turntable, both designated city historical landmarks. The identified parcel is directly across Senter Road from several relocated city landmarks at History San Jose creating the potential of coordinated museum program activities. Furthermore, the WP right-of-way is wide enough to enable joint use of a trail and reinstallation of track westward for a potential rail connection at Valbrick.
The full proposal may be read on our website. www.ctrc.org
Nonetheless, discussions are preliminary.
