Ken, I can't help but hear reverberations of my own thoughts of the last several years that the Valbrick yard area would be an ideal home for the CTRC museum. There is a very large and attractive parcel that skirts Monterey Hwy that would be incredible just south of the old WP Monterey Hwy. crossing. The triangle across from the Spartan Stadium seems a little small, but if it available....? How incredible it would be if the trolley museum could have a Senter Rd. Crossing and access the Valbrick trackage. It also seems that if CTRC can find a functional diesel switcher, they could provide load/empty switching for the couple of remaining freight customers. It could provide a small amount of revenue that might otherwise be unavailable from the public domain. With cooperation from the Mineta Institute, it might also be possible with some operable trackage to implement a railroad academy for both historical restoration and current railroading skills for college credit. Just a thought.
