Martin,

The shots on the hill are ones I never did get, really nice to see them! (Makes me kick myself!)

It could be the Mobase local, Ft. Lewis Local, or possibly the Long Hill Switch job. I think the Gate went via the Point line. As far as I know, there never was a Wabash local on the NP's Tacoma Division. I'm inclined towards the Ft. Lewis job, seems like the Gate and Mobase usually had 2 Geeps and the Long Hill had a switcher.

In 1982, Dad was the conductor on the Ft. Lewis local, and I was working for Jet Equipment, which was located on the hill in the old Heidelburg Brewery building. At lunch, they were coming down the hill, and as the caboose passed, I swung up and had my lunch with dad while riding back to the yard.

Thanks again for posting these, they bring back lots of memories.
