The third photo of the 298 spotting the City of Prineville Railway boxcar is significant in that Jerry Price was the General Manager of the YVT and when freight service was discontinued Jerry went south to become the General Manager of the COP until his retirement.

Jerry was a great guy and continued to reside in Yakima where he drove "home" from Prineville to be with his family on weekends. A typical old school railroader, Jerry was known for inviting his cohorts to "go have a 'snort'" at the bar during intermissions at the short line meetings.
