Re: For Information Only--No comment on my part

I am a rail that used to post on Trainorders what I hoped was usefull information. I've held several jobs in different crafts on 3 railroads in my nearly 33 year career. I left TO years ago when he asked for more money and gave less service. I've found that TO had little useful information (to me) after the change--I still took a look from time to time. I vastly prefer a forum that has a strong dose of historical content to rather than "A train went by today" posts. That said, I have seen some wonderful current photos here taken in the scenic northwest.
This site has had some long winded slug fests but I don't have to read them. I'd suggest we all ignore the trolls and let those threads die on the vine.
Thanks to all the people that have posted photos (love the recent Burwash b&w's!), comments, stories and answered my questions here. All in all this is my favorite RR site and the one I check the most frequently. I'll put my vote in now for anything from the "rainbow" era in the early 70's when freight and passenger trains of the newly merged BN and early Amtrak made for colorful photo subjects.
