The Key System units built for the Bridge Railway used the same type of tripper valve to control raising and lowering the pantograph.

During the 1939 World's Fair, the Key System used some of their Bridge Units to haul passengers out on the Key Route Pier for a ferry trip to the fair. These units had a lockable selector valve which changed the tripper valve's function from pantograph control mode to emergency-stop mode for pier operation.
