Typical mousing around.... rail rant--????
It's called chemistry, one of the hard classes, and some smoke compounds block and some compounds trap sun light... yep, that damn human caused pollution does both..... go figure that damn complicated nature stuff......? And, yep..... it's all of our carbon producing crap, because there are too damn many of us on this little blue planet, burning way too much crap.... But, it's not really a g@wd damn railroad topic, is it?
I'd think Warren is right for a whole lot of reasons for buying BNSF (and thank you Warren), including BNSF's energy potential, and corridor opportunities for transmission of wind power, and savings from possible investment in railroad electrification.....
I'd cut imported oil and all the money we're borrowing from our Chinese banker, and sending the "allies" in the middle east.... to pay for our oil addiction? I'd think about doing that, even if people weren't worried that we are melting all the damn glaciers.......... been to Alaska lately....? And, trains are one way to do that, if we use them efficiently.
And, NASA is made up of a lot of really smart people who took a lot of the really hard courses....... like serious math, physics, chemistry, so most of the rest of you "rocket scientists" ought pay at least some attention, especially if you didn't take those courses yourself(???).... and, just maybe, it would be good to argue about Nasa on another "space" or "environmental" thread?
There is plenty to argue about with trains, even the damn politics of trains, and trains are a lot more fun.....?
So what about the NASA Railroad and the SW 1500's they had, what will happen to them after the shuttle?
