NP Bridge over the Ship Canal and a bit more

Yes, it was a bascule. Had the pleasure of a ride over it, in the cab of a switcher.
The BNSF engine service facilities are on the NP right-of-way to the bridge noted above and to the Terry Avenue freighthouse and the many warehouses at the South end of Lake Union. Find the track at engine service, then as it passes under the South abutment of the Ballard Bridge and follow it to a group of warehouses with a Plymouth for transferring cars from and to the BNSF.
On the West side of Lake Union, a section of NP track, in woods, has been preserved at the entrance to houseboats. Look for a grove of trees in the miles of parking lot.
